My kitchen faucet swap turned into a 9 hour job over one seized valve under the sink
I figured replacing the old faucet in my Cleveland Heights house would eat up maybe 2 hours on a Saturday. Then the shutoff valve under the sink snapped in my hand, which meant shutting off the main, and of course the main valve in the basement was frozen too. Ended up at the hardware store on Lee Road twice, once for a new valve and once because the first one leaked at the threads. Has anyone else dealt with a crusty shutoff valve turning a small job into a full day, and did you just replace every valve in the house after that?
