My neighbor swore by a $5 trick to stop squirrels from eating my garden.

He told me to sprinkle cayenne pepper around the plants, and I thought it was just an old wives' tale until I tried it last week and haven't seen a single squirrel since. What other weird but real fixes have you guys found for Cleveland critters?

Tbh your buddy's snake trick sounds like it would fail just as fast as the pepper did.

Honestly, I've had the total opposite experience with that pepper trick. It washed away after the first rain and the squirrels were back digging by the next afternoon. Those little guys just don't seem to care after a while, they get used to it. I tried the rubber snake thing too and a bird just landed on it. Maybe these tricks work for a week but they aren't a real fix. What did you do when the pepper trick stopped working?
