My sump pump quit during that big storm on West 117th and I found out the hard way
Last Thursday around 11pm the power flickered and my basement started taking on water while the sump pump sat there dead. I spent two hours bailing with a bucket and a shop vac until a neighbor lent me his backup pump, which saved me about $3,000 in ruined stuff. How often are you all testing your pumps before storm season actually hits?
