Old lead pipe in Lakewood finally gave up

My house on Clifton has cast iron drains from 1928, and after 40 years of slow clogs I finally ran a camera down there. Found a root ball the size of a basketball near the street connection. Spent $900 on a hydro jetting service instead of a full repipe, and it's been 8 months with zero backups. Has anyone else in the older neighborhoods dealt with this and just stuck to yearly jetting?
