Spent $180 on a radon mitigation system and it actually dropped my levels by 80%

Honestly I was skeptical because my neighbor said his didn't do much. But after testing showed 7.8 pCi/L I called a guy from Parma who installed a sub-slab depressurization system. Cost me $180 for the fan and piping plus his labor. Levels went down to 1.2 after three days. Anyone else had good luck with these or did I just get lucky with my crawlspace layout?

My buddy in Wickliffe had one installed and his levels dropped from 6.8 to like 0.9.

My neighbor in Mentor had his water tested and it came back at 7.2, then he put one of those systems in and it went down to 1.1 in about two months. I was talking to @taylorc40 about this the other day, saying how wild it is that these things actually work that fast. My wife was skeptical at first but now shes all about it since our water tastes way cleaner. Have you noticed a difference in taste or just the numbers?
