That $40 gutter scoop from a roofing supply place actually held up

I got tired of cleaning gutters with wet hands and a flimsy trowel every spring. Tried a cheap plastic scoop from the big box store and it snapped after two runs. Finally grabbed the heavy duty metal one at Rinaldi Supply on St. Clair for around 40 bucks, and it got me through 4 seasons of maple seed mess. Has anyone else found better tools at contractor supply spots instead of the usual stores?

Man, is that the trick with any place that sells to pros, they just make stuff that actually lasts?

But is it really that they last longer, or just that they're built for abuse and we tolerate the failures differently? I've had pro-grade stuff die in months while some budget junk goes for years, depends on the line. Do you think the price is actually buying durability, or just the name and the warranty?
