That old guy from Parma who fixed my porch swing for free

Back in 2015 a retired carpenter down the street saw me struggling with a rotting beam and just came over with his own tools, said "you're doing it the hard way, kid" and showed me how to brace it in about 20 minutes. He didn't even want a tip, just asked me to pass it along to the next new homeowner on the block. Anyone else had a neighbor step in like that when you first bought in Cleveland?

You know my buddy Dave who bought a place in Lakewood? Same exact thing, some older guy just showed up with a ladder and fixed his gutter before it rained, wouldn't take a dime.
