That time my basement drain backed up during a Browns game party
It was last October, right after halftime against the Bengals. I was in the kitchen grabbing more chips when I heard a weird gurgle from the utility room. Opened the door and saw about an inch of nasty water already on the floor. I panicked, turned off the main water, and called my buddy Mike who does plumbing. He came over with his snake, cleared a root clog from the old clay line to the street. Anyone know a good company to scope the rest of my sewer line in Lakewood?

Honestly sounds like a one time thing. Mike already fixed it with the snake. Why spend more money on a camera scope right now? Those old clay lines can last forever if you're lucky. Just keep an eye on it. If it backs up again, then maybe think about it.

Nah, my neighbor's clay line just collapsed out of nowhere.

Yeah but like tylerj22 said, those old clay lines can just give out without warning. I mean you might get lucky, but a camera could show if there's a crack or roots getting in before it totally fails. It's a gamble either way.
