TIL Cleveland has 172,000+ housing units and about 45% are rentals
Was digging through the city planning site last night (procrastinating on cleaning my gutters) and found a report saying Cleveland is one of the few big Midwest cities where renters outnumber owners in some neighborhoods. On my own block in Old Brooklyn, 6 of the 11 houses are rentals now, which explains why nobody ever waves back. Anyone know if that ratio changes what the city does about the lead paint letters we all keep getting?
