TIL I was watering my lawn at the worst possible time, and my July water bill proves it
I was out there every evening around 7 running the sprinkler, thinking I was being smart by avoiding the heat. Then a neighbor on my street in Parma Heights mentioned his grass was greener and his bill was lower, and when I asked why he said he waters at 5 in the morning. Turns out evening watering leaves the blades wet all night and half of it just evaporates or sits there. My last bill was $94 for the month and I had brown patches anyway. Anyone else switch their schedule and actually see a difference, or is 5am just too early for people with jobs?
