Vent: My neighbor's contractor parked on my lawn for a week

Last month a guy remodeling the house next door parked his truck on my front yard for 5 days straight, crushed my grass and left tire ruts. I called the city but nothing happened until I threatened to tow it myself. Has anyone else had to deal with rude contractors like this in Cleveland?

Oh man @paulmitchell, I tried the note thing once and it did NOT go well. The guy actually came banging on my door all angry thinking I was accusing him of something. What finally worked for me was just waiting until I saw him getting in his car and walking over real casual like "hey sorry to bug you but you've been taking my spot." He was totally cool about it and even apologized. Sometimes face to face is just BETTER than a note that can sound rude no matter how you word it.

Wait till he leaves for the day and just roll a few big rocks right along the edge of your lawn where his tires go. Hard to park on rutted grass when there's a curb you didn't build there.
