Warning: my 1918 house in Ohio City had knob and tube hiding behind the basement ceiling tile
The home inspector missed it last spring, so when the lights dimmed every time the fridge kicked on I pulled a tile down and found bare cloth wiring 6 inches from a gas line, and now I'm wondering if anyone around here has a go-to electrician who actually knows old Cleveland houses or if I should just sell the place.
