I just switched from a gas mower to a push reel mower for my small yard
For years I thought a reel mower was a joke, but my neighbor in Portland showed me his quiet, clean lawn last month. I bought a basic model for about $100 and tried it on my quarter acre. It takes a bit more effort, but the lack of fumes and noise is a real win. Has anyone else made a switch like this and found it easier than they expected?

Made the same switch last year and honestly love the quiet. It's a solid workout and my lawn looks better too.

My neighbor swears by his reel mower, says it cuts cleaner than rotary blades. He showed me the difference in grass health, less brown tips and fewer weeds.

I get the quiet part, but man my back was killing me after a week. Switched back to electric and never looked back lol.
