My neighbor's 6 year old asked me why we don't just plant trees everywhere

I was out front digging up more of my grass to put in native wildflowers last Tuesday when the kid from two doors down wandered over. She watched me for a minute, then asked why grownups keep talking about climate stuff when we could just plant a tree in every empty lot. It hit different because she said it like it was the simplest math problem in the world, no carbon credits or policy talk, just roots and dirt. I told her it's not that easy with city rules and all, but honestly she's right that we overcomplicate it sometimes. Has anyone else had a kid ask something so basic that it made you wonder if we're all just circling around the obvious fix?
