Showerthought: the city pool in Fargo shut off the showers and now I bring a bucket
Went to the Fargo public pool two Sundays ago and found every shower head capped off. They said it saves 40,000 gallons a summer, which is wild because I used to stand under there for 15 minutes. Anyone else see their rec center do this, or is it just a way to push people out faster?
40k gallons sounds like a lot until you do the math on how few people actually shower there. And capping them saves them the cost of hot water AND cleaning, so it's kind of a two for one for the city. I just rinse off before I get in the water, that's the part that actually matters for the pool.
