That one week in July killed my solar panel project...
I was all set to install my own panels last summer, had 12 of them laid out in the yard. Then a freak hailstorm rolled through on a Tuesday and cracked 3 of them before I could get them mounted. Cost me $400 just to haul the damaged ones to the recycling center in Denver. Has anyone else had a weather event completely mess up their timeline like that?

Oh wow, of course a hailstorm had to crash your party like that. Mother Nature really does have the worst timing, doesn't she? Like she's just sitting up there waiting for you to get your panels lined up in the yard before she drops the hammer. $400 to haul them away too, that's just salt in the wound. I swear the universe does this stuff on purpose just to test your patience with renewable energy. So much for that sunny July vibe you were banking on.

Yeah, that part about the universe testing patience with renewable energy is a stretch. I mean, hailstorms don't really pick on solar panels specifically. They just wreck everything in their path, like cars and roofs too. My neighbor's got dents all over his truck from the same storm last week, so it's more about bad luck with weather than some cosmic energy grudge. You ever had a storm mess up something random like that?

So you're saying my luck's worse than a dented truck?

Buddy of mine lost half a shed roof to a microburst the day before his wedding reception.
