That week last July when the temperature hit 104 for five straight days and every single bird in my neighborhood just stopped singing

I mean, idk if it was the heat or what, but by day three I couldn't find a single sparrow or robin anywhere near my feeders and it was so quiet outside it actually scared me, has anyone else noticed wildlife disappearing during those extreme heat spells?

104 degrees and the birds stopped chirping, not the end of the world.

You got a mister or a swamp cooler running? My trick is wet a towel and hang it in front of a fan, drops the temp a solid few degrees.

Swamp cooler works great til the humidity spikes, then it's just a wet fart in the wind.
