The recycling bin at my condo in Dayton got a laminated sign and it made things way worse
Someone on our HOA board printed a big laminated sheet last month that says "NO BAGS, NO PIZZA BOXES" and taped it to the lid, and now half the building just tosses loose trash in because they figure the whole thing is a lost cause anyway. I know because I watched a guy drop a full pizza box straight in on Tuesday, point at the sign, and say "it says no boxes, so I am not fighting it." The real issue is the sign says nothing about rinsing jars, which is the one thing that actually gets a load pulled at our pickup site. So we pay $40 a month in HOA dues for a mega sign and a bin that smells like a dumpster in July. Has anyone gotten a building to actually fix this, or do I just start bringing my jars to the drop-off on 3rd Street myself?
