Vent: My apartment building's new rain barrel system actually works!
We put in rain barrels for our garden, and it's saved a lot of water. This small win proves we can make a difference without big changes. How come more places aren't trying stuff like this?

My complex in Phoenix added rain barrels to water the shared lawn. We cut our water bill by almost thirty percent in the first month. The barrels fill up fast during monsoon season, so we rarely use the hose now. It's proof that small changes can have a real impact, and I don't get why every building manager isn't looking into this.

A friend in Tucson set up rain barrels for her backyard plants last year. Her water use dropped enough that the whole block started talking about it. These little fixes really do add up fast.

Why isn't every complex doing this, @brooke_palmer? Your story proves that saving water and money is really easy. It's frustrating when managers ignore such simple ideas.
