Visiting my old hometown in Ohio changed how I see local climate work
I went back to Mansfield last week and saw they turned a big empty lot into a community garden and planted over 200 native trees. I always thought real climate action needed big government plans, but this was just a local group that got a grant. They showed me the soil is already holding more water after just two years, which helps with flooding. It made me realize small projects can build up fast if more towns do them. Has your town started any local green projects like this?

Mansfield's 200 trees sound nice but that's a tiny area. The real issue is industrial emissions on a global scale.

Yeah, my one houseplant is basically my own climate plan.

Honestly, that's a nice park but it's a drop in the bucket. The scale of the problem is just way bigger than some trees. Feels good, doesn't really move the needle.
