Appreciation post: A five-minute leg routine that helps with standing all shift
My feet and legs were killing me after hours by the machine. Now, I do calf raises and ankle circles during coolant refills, about ten reps each. It keeps the blood flowing and reduces that heavy feeling. Makes the long days way more manageable.

My old foreman swore by quick stretches during smoke breaks. It’s the same idea, getting movement in those tiny dead zones to fight off the stiffness. I’m gonna try the ankle circles tomorrow for sure.

Seriously, calf raises and ankle circles fix everything now? That seems like putting a bandaid on a bigger issue. If your feet hurt that bad, maybe the problem is your boots or how long you're standing without a real break. People hype up tiny routines like they're magic, but it's just basic movement. Don't make it more than it is.

Yeah, completely get that... those tiny movement breaks are a total game changer for me too. I started just shifting my weight side to side while waiting for parts to cycle, maybe doing a few slow leg kicks when no one's looking. It sounds too simple to work but it honestly keeps the ache from building up so much by the end of the day. It's not some miracle fix but it just stops everything from locking up into one big cramp. That heavy feeling in your legs gets way worse if you stay totally still for hours.
