I started using a cheap dial indicator to check my vise alignment every morning
My part tolerance was off by about 0.003 inches on a run of aluminum brackets. After I made this a habit for a month, my scrap rate dropped by half. How often do you guys check your workholding setup?

Cheap tools for the win. I check my clamps after every coffee break, the heat change in the shop seems to shift things.

Remember my buddy who had the same issue. He started doing what @milacraig said, checking after breaks, and it saved a whole batch of parts last week.

Seriously? That's wild that just a coffee break can throw things off that much. What kind of shift are we talking about here, like a few thou or something you can actually see? Makes me wonder if it's the metal in the part itself moving or just the cheap clamps giving up.
