Just ran my first 500 parts without a single tool change

We had this tricky aluminum job with a 0.25 inch end mill doing a deep slot, and I was sure I'd need to swap it halfway. The tool just kept going and I hit the 500 mark this morning. What's the longest run you've ever gotten from a small tool on a tough material?

My buddy's 1/8 inch carbide drill ran for 800 parts in titanium once, it was nuts.

Wow, @markt23's titanium story is wild, but 500 on aluminum is solid!

My last drill in aluminum looked like a chewed-up pencil after fifty parts. Guess I'm the common denominator in these tool life stories. Markt's buddy must have had the magic touch or a blessed machine. I'm just happy if I make it through a shift without breaking something expensive.
