Spindle load jumped to 120% on a Friday afternoon job
I was running a 6061 part for a repeat customer out of Tulsa and had the feeds set the same as always, but the spindle load started climbing out of nowhere around the 14th piece. Turned out the coolant nozzle had shifted overnight and was just spraying the back wall, so the end mill was cutting dry and glowing orange by the time I caught it. Has anyone else had a mystery load spike that turned out to be something dumb like that, or am I the only one who forgets to check nozzle position before hitting cycle start?
