The coolant tank incident at a shop in Toledo changed my whole setup
I was running a Haas Mini Mill and the coolant line popped off, sprayed foam all over the floor for a good 30 seconds before I hit the stop. Now I check all my coolant fittings with zip ties before every shift. Anybody else had a mess like that ruin a Friday?

Caught wind of a guy in Detroit who had a similar coolant line pop off, sprayed all over a freshly poured concrete floor he just did. Took him almost a whole weekend to scrub the foam out of the pits and divots in the slab. Since then, I've been paranoid about those quick-connect fittings on my lathe (not a Haas, but same general idea). Zip ties are a solid habit, but I also saw someone online swear by using those little metal spring clamps instead, says they bite down harder than plastic.

Spring clamps are 100% worth it, I switched mine out after a coolant hose blew on a Friday.

Wait, did that coolant actually foam up on the floor?
