Walked through a medium sized shop last week and saw something that bugged me
Their CNC operators were all standing around waiting for the machine to finish a 15 minute cycle because nobody thought to stagger the tool changes. One guy was just scrolling his phone for 12 minutes between parts. Has anyone else noticed shops where the workflow layout is clearly slowing everybody down?

Damn, I had a buddy whose shop wasted hours daily just like that until they finally moved the tool crib closer to the machines.
