Warning: My $200 coolant mister clogged up after a month
Bought a FogBuster unit for my Bridgeport to try and cut down on coolant mist in the shop. It worked great for about four weeks, then the tiny nozzle got totally blocked with gunk from our water-based coolant. Had to take the whole thing apart and soak it in solvent for an hour to clear it. Anyone have a better setup for small parts that doesn't need constant cleaning?

Ugh, that's the worst! You spend all that money on a fancy mister just to play plumber with a bucket of solvent. @the_joseph is onto something with the filter idea. My old shop had the same gunk building up in the lines, it was like the coolant was growing its own little ecosystem. Maybe a cheap filter is the real upgrade here, not the mister itself. What kind of solvent did you end up using to clear it?

Tiny nozzle got totally blocked" makes me wonder if a filter would help.

I used to skip filters, but a clogged nozzle last month changed my mind completely. A simple in-line filter saved me so much trouble.
