Dropped $200 on a coding bootcamp prep course and it was a total waste for me
I paid $200 for a beginner Python course last spring thinking it would get me past the basics fast. The videos were 3 years old and half the install steps didn't match what showed up on my screen. I spent a full weekend stuck on setting up my environment and the forums were dead. I finally gave up and used free stuff on YouTube plus the official docs. Finished my first little script two days after that. So the money burned me, but I'm not sure it was the course or just me picking the lazy route. Did a paid beginner course ever actually save you, or did free stuff work better?
