Found out my first hello world program is older than I am, and I'm not sure how to feel
I was reading through the Python docs at my kitchen table in Sacramento last week and saw that the first version came out in 1991, which is three years before I was born. I always assumed the language I started learning was made in like 2010 or something because all the tutorials look so new. Then I checked C and that one is from 1972, so people were writing code before my parents even met. Does it throw anyone else off to learn how old the basics actually are?
