Hot take: the library computer lab in Akron taught me more than 3 months of tutorials
Sat next to a retired guy at the Akron public library last Saturday who walked me through my first Python loop on a sticky keyboard. He never touched the mouse once, just pointed at my screen and said "say the steps out loud to me." That one trick got me past the error I'd been stuck on for 2 days, so now I try to explain my code to anyone who'll listen. What little habits actually made things click for you when you were starting out?
