Took a reviewer's advice to stop over-commenting my code, now I read it faster

They told me every line doesn't need a note explaining itself, so I cut my comments down to just the tricky parts, and now my own code from last Tuesday actually makes sense on the first pass, has anyone else had to unlearn a habit a senior dev pointed out?
