Why does nobody warn beginners about indentation errors first?

My third week learning Python I spent 2 hours staring at a 10 line script that kept throwing errors. Turns out one space was in the wrong spot and the whole loop broke. I see new people in this sub posting the same issue almost daily. It's not hard to fix once you know, but nobody mentions it in the intro tutorials. Why do all the beginner guides skip the boring stuff like whitespace and focus on flashy projects first? Has anyone else hit this wall early on?
