A barista at the shop on Chester Ave told me to stop blooming with cold water, and my morning cup changed
I used to just dump cold water in and stir, and my coffee always tasted flat and kind of sour no matter the beans. She said to use water right off a boil, wait 30 seconds, then pour, and let it sit for 45 seconds before the full brew. I tried it for a week straight and the difference was real, the flavor came through way cleaner. Anyone else get a tip like that from someone behind the counter that actually stuck?
