Am I the only one who thinks a $400 grinder is a waste for pour over?
I keep seeing people say you need a high end grinder before anything else, and I just don't buy it. Back in March I spent $390 on a flat burr grinder, and after 6 weeks of side by side cups with my old $60 hand grinder, I honestly could not taste a difference on my V60. The big upgrade for me was actually spending $18 on a decent scale and weighing my beans, which fixed way more sour cups than any grinder did. For the folks who did upgrade, did you taste it right away or did it take a while to notice?
