Burned my hand on a drip tray and it changed my whole setup
I was at my kitchen counter last Tuesday pouring hot water and the cheap plastic handle on my kettle snapped off. Took a second degree burn on my wrist but it made me realize I needed something sturdier. Anyone else have a kitchen accident that made you switch gear?

Is it not better to just buy a good kettle instead of blaming the equipment you already had?

Three out of four electric kettles fail within two years according to a 2022 Consumer Reports test, so stovetops might actually last longer.

You mentioned "good kettle" - how do you even tell which ones are actually good before they break?
