Burnt 45 minutes dialing in a grinder that had a loose burr

Spent a whole Saturday morning trying to fix my espresso shots at home in Portland. Turns out the top burr on my Baratza Encore was wiggling loose the whole time. Check your screws before you waste a bag of beans like I did. Anyone else run into hidden hardware issues with their gear?

You're all blaming the device when the real issue is user error. Half the people who complain about resets are just ignoring the manual or skipping updates. Read the instructions, follow the sequence right, and you won't have these problems. Companies put those steps in for a reason, not to annoy you. Maybe stop treating your gadgets like they're disposable and actually learn how they work.
