Had a pour over fail spectacularly this morning at 6am

My ceramic dripper cracked clean in half after 2 years of daily use, coffee grounds went everywhere across the counter, so I grabbed a French press from the back of the cabinet - has anyone else had a brewer break at the worst possible time?

Grabbed my old French press too when my V60 cracked at 6am on a Monday. Honestly, it turned out way better than I expected once I figured out the timing. Tbh, the French press gave me a fuller body that I actually missed with the pour over. Just had to grind a little coarser and let it steep for 4 minutes instead of the usual 3. Ngl, I still use the French press sometimes even now that I replaced the dripper.

Countertop still has coffee ground stains from my emergency cleanup at 5:30am last Tuesday. My Chemex slipped out of my hand and shattered on the tile floor right as I was about to brew for a 6am work meeting.
