Hit 100 pour overs at home without realizing it

So I was cleaning out my cabinet last night and found a stack of used V60 filters I been meaning to throw away. I counted em up on a whim and realized I had gone through exactly 100 filters since I started brewing at home instead of hitting the cafe down the street. That number caught me off guard because I never thought of myself as that consistent with anything. It started back in January when I got tired of spending $5 every morning on a single cup. My scale and gooseneck kettle became my morning ritual without me even planning it. Now I'm curious if anyone else has hit a random milestone like this with their home setup. What was the number that made you stop and think huh?

Dave finding 50 empty bean bags is wild but honestly not that surprising. Once you get into a routine with this stuff, it just becomes second nature. I think what really hit me was when I added up the money I saved. 100 cups at $5 each is $500. My whole setup cost less than half of that, and I still have most of it. The filters and beans are the only recurring cost, so I'm basically drinking better coffee for pennies now. It's funny how a habit that started just because I was cheap turned into something I actually look forward to every morning.

This is exactly the kind of thing that sneaks up on you when you're not paying attention. 100 filters is a solid chunk of time and effort, and it's wild how small habits stack up without us noticing. It reminds me of how people will say they "suddenly" realized they've been running for six months or reading a book a week when it actually took daily work to get there. The number itself isn't what matters, it's the fact that you stuck with something long enough for that number to exist. That's the real takeaway.
