I finally got why that local roaster charges $24 a bag

Drove out to Hilltop Roasters last Saturday after hearing about them for like a year. Watched the owner pull a single espresso shot and he threw out three before he got one he liked. Is that normal for small batch places or was he just showing off?

My buddy Tom dropped $200 on some fancy water bottle that supposedly keeps ice for 3 days. He walked it around the office like it was a trophy for a month. Last week he admitted the ice melted by lunch and now it's collecting dust in his trunk.
