Mixed up a batch of what she called "the cheapest cold brew hack" using tap water and a sock, and by day 2 my kitchen smelled like a golden retriever after a swim at Lake Erie. Turns out you actually need filtered water for cold brew, who knew, so has anyone else ruined a batch of beans trying a hack off the internet?
