Remember when a good cup just meant a full pot in the morning?
I used to just buy the cheapest can of grounds at the store and run it through a basic drip machine, thinking that was all there was to it. After a friend in Chicago made me a pour-over with freshly ground beans last fall, I started weighing my beans and paying attention to water temp. Does anyone else feel like they can't go back to the old way once they've tasted the difference?

Is it really that deep though? I just need caffeine.

You know, martinez.kim, it's funny how many big things start with a simple need like that... like needing coffee leads to a whole morning routine, which shapes your whole day. It's all these tiny choices that add up to something bigger without us even noticing.

Shapes your whole day" is a bit much. It's just coffee, not a life philosophy. Some of us still function fine on the cheap stuff.
