The pour-over class at that little shop in Portland totally wrecked my French press habit
I took a 2 hour class at a place called Heart Roasters back in 2018 and the guy showed me how much sediment I was leaving in my cup. After that I went home and gave my old Bodum to Goodwill the next day. Has anyone else had one class completely flip how you make coffee?

Totally get it. One good tutorial from a shop can mess up your whole morning routine in the best way. I had a similar moment with a Kalita Wave demo years ago and never looked back.

The Kalita Wave demo at a shop is exactly what flipped my switch too. That first pour-over at home the next morning felt like a whole new coffee game.
