Warning: cold brew with tap water killed my batch
I've been brewing cold brew for months in Denver with filtered water, but last week I ran out and used tap water straight from the sink. The result tasted flat and slightly metallic, even after 18 hours of steeping with the same beans and ratio. Has anyone else noticed a big difference with water source, or am I just imagining it?

Tap water here is super hard and it absolutely ruined a batch for me too. I started using a simple Brita pitcher for everything now, even the water I bloom my beans with. It made a huge difference, the brew got way cleaner and I could actually taste the chocolate notes again.
