Wasted $40 on a fancy coffee bean subscription that was totally not worth it
I signed up for this high-end single origin coffee bean subscription last month because everyone on here was raving about it. The first bag came and the beans were so oily and dark roasted they tasted like burnt tires. I tried different grind settings, water temps, even let it rest a few days and it still came out bitter and flat. The second bag had a weird fermented taste that reminded me of old fruit sitting in the sun. After two bags I canceled and lost $40 on the subscription fee plus shipping. I should have just stuck with my local roaster who sells stuff I can smell and see before buying. Has anyone else had a bad experience with those online bean clubs that promise the world?

Did you try reaching out to their customer support about it? I had a similar experience with one of those fancy bean clubs and they refunded me after I complained about the burnt taste.

Customer support can be hit or miss but it's always worth a shot lol. Some of these companies actually care about keeping you happy, others just ghost you. Glad you got your money back though.
