Why does nobody talk about the 3 month mark being harder than week one when you quit sugar in your coffee
Everyone acts like the first week without sugar in your coffee is the big battle. I hit 90 days last Friday and that was the day I almost caved and grabbed a packet at the diner on 9th. The first week is rough, sure, but you have all this motivation pushing you through it. Around month three the taste of plain black coffee stops feeling like a new thing and just feels like your normal morning, so there is nothing exciting keeping you going. I was at a diner near my apartment in Portland and the waitress set down a little bowl of sugar packets right next to my cup without me asking. Something about seeing them there when I was not even craving them made me realize how much of this habit is just about the ritual of reaching for something. My pour over at home uses a medium roast from a local place and honestly I can taste the difference now, which is why it bugs me that nobody warns you about month three. Has anyone else found that the milestone dates hit harder than the first few days?
