Found a 20 dollar note tucked in an old book at a cafe and it bought my next 4 visits

Last Tuesday I was killing time at That Little Place on 5th in Portland, waiting for a friend who was late. This older guy at the next table left a stack of books on the chair, and the owner was clearing them off. I grabbed one to flip through, a beat up copy of a travel guide from 1998, and a folded 20 fell out. I handed it to the counter and told them it must be his, but he was already out the door. The barista shrugged and said he leaves stuff all the time, so she let me put it towards a punch card. That got me a free drip every morning for a week, and now I check every book people leave behind in coffee shops. Has anyone else ever found cash in a stray book or newspaper at a cafe?

Found a lottery ticket in a library book once. It was a winner. Coffee money got way better.
