Gave up on my usual corner table at The Daily Grind

I used to think the spot by the window was the only place to get any work done, but the glare on my screen was killing me. Last Tuesday, I moved to the worn leather chair in the back corner by the bookshelf. The barista, Mark, saw me and said, 'Smart move, that's the quietest seat in the house.' He was right. I got more done in that one hour than I usually do in three. Anyone have a favorite hidden spot in their regular cafe?

My old spot was the third stool from the left at the counter in The Roasted Bean. Tbh, the real game changer wasn't the seat itself, but realizing the cafe's AC vent was right above it. That constant draft meant my coffee went cold in like five minutes. Switched to a booth near the kitchen door where the air is still and it feels like a totally different place. Funny how one little thing you don't even notice at first can ruin the whole vibe.

Wait, you sat there for how long before you noticed the vent?

Spot on, @brian_smith6. Those hidden drafts are the worst. It's crazy how something you can't even see can totally wreck your whole setup. Makes you wonder what else we're all sitting under right now.
