Had to cut a coffee date short after the barista left a nasty note on my cup

Last week at Brew & Co. on Oak Street, someone wrote 'tip or leave' on my to-go cup lid and it totally killed the vibe. Has anyone else gotten weird passive-aggressive stuff from staff at local shops?

Harper said 'life's too short to let a Starbucks marker message get under your skin' but honestly my skin is so thin that a gentle breeze ruins my week, let alone a sharpie diss." Maybe we all just need thicker coffee sleeves and thicker skin?

Three years ago at Daily Grind on Main Street, a barista wrote "you forgot something" on my lid with an arrow pointing down at the empty tip jar. It completely ruined my morning and I never went back there again. Is that place even still open, or did everyone stop going after stuff like that?

Is a note on a coffee cup really worth getting that upset over? I mean the barista was definitely rude about it but "ruined your morning" seems a bit much. I've had baristas give me attitude plenty of times and I just shrug it off and move on with my day. Life's too short to let a Starbucks marker message get under your skin that deep.
