Hot take: I tried working from a coffee shop for a full day and it was a total bust

Honestly, I set up at this spot in Portland last Friday, thinking I'd be super productive. I spent $18 on coffee and a pastry, but the constant noise and people watching just killed my focus. Ngl, I got maybe two hours of real work done in eight hours. Has anyone else found that the whole 'coffee shop office' thing just doesn't work for certain types of tasks?

lol "noise-cancelling" is one word? i've been typing it wrong for years. thanks for the heads up @bell.felix. my spelling is so bad it probably cancels out the noise just by looking at it.
