I hit 40 different coffee shops in Denver over 14 weeks, and the number that got me was 6
Last spring I set out to try a new cafe every week and made it to 40 shops across Denver in 14 weeks. The number that surprised me wasn't 40, it was 6. That's how many baristas asked my name and actually used it again the next visit. I figured it would be way higher, but most spots were friendly and forgot me by the door. It kind of bugged me, so now I pay more attention to which places make that little effort. Anybody else keep a mental list of shops where they feel like a regular, and how fast did it happen for you?
